Cecilio López-Tercero, profesional speleologist was injured during the exploration of the karst system in Leymebamba, Amazonas, located in the Andean Cordillera. The fatality occured the past Thursday, 18th of September during an international exploration at 400 meters depth. The caver was seriously injured by a falling of 5 meters. First reports said that he is in conscience and his life is not in danger. Several Rescue Teams of Spain and South America were displaced to the cave and are right now working hard to extract the caver from the hollow black pitch. Cecilio, is not able to move his legs and his arms and probably, he suffers high damage in at least two disks of her back bone..
