Instrumentation: I have installed over a thousand piezometers and wells over the years, many in karstic limestone areas.
Geoactivity: I have 25 years experience in geological and hydrogeological investigations at over 50 mining projects on 4 continents. I was the founder of Ground Water International, a consulting company focused on mining hydrogeology in Latin America. Much of the hydrogeological investigations I do are carried out on existing and proposed mine waste storage areas, many of which are in karstic terrain. I will be chairing the first international conference Mine Water Solutions in Extreme Environments in April 2013 in Lima, Peru. The call for abstracts will go out soon. Hope to see you here!
