As part of the annual convention of both the German and Austrian national speleological associations, the Bad Mitterndorf Caving Club (Verein für Höhlenkunde in Obersteier) will be holding an international speleological meeting from 12th to 19th August 2012. The convention location will be Bad Mitterndorf, Styria, Austria. From 12th to 15th August there will be field trips into the caves and karst areas of the Totes Gebirge and Dachstein mountains. From 16th to 19th August, the programme of events will conclude with field trips and lectures and also an exhibition focusing on 100 years of speleology in the Styrian Salzkammergut.
