Abstract:
Ice, calcite, aragonite, monohydrocalcite, gypsum and ikaite speleothems were found in the Okhotnichiya cave. The aragonite occurs as layers in calcite stalactites and speleothemic crusts. Monohydrocalcite and gypsum occurs as crusts on the top of the calcite corallites. Gypsum crystallictites and antholites were found in the cave. Criomineral formations are represented by ikaite. Coarse-grained criogenic cave carbonates occur as accumulations of non-cemented ikaite crystal aggregates on the surface of limestone-dolomite boulders.
